- There is direct evident that the name "Lady Be Good" was actually painted on this aircraft on April 3rd (the day before it crashed). It was only painted on the starboard side of the bomber and it was in yellow paint.
- It is speculation that the #2 engine was slightly damaged by a night fighter - a 20mm shell was found in the engine, but it is more likely that it came from ground fire.
